About The Position
Central State Hospital is seeking an on-site OD Physician to provide on-call comprehensive Psychiatric and Medical care to the patients of CSH. This includes taking referrals from outside hospitals, admitting patients, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, providing follow-up care, and attending to any emergency needs throughout the entire hospital while on-call. The physician will perform all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner and may be assigned other related duties.
Requirements
- Completed Medical School
- Valid Kentucky Medical License
- Active DEA license
- Experience in adult psychiatry
- Completed a minimum of two years in an approved psychiatric residency program
Responsibilities
- Provides on-call comprehensive Psychiatric and Medical care to the patients of CSH
- Takes referrals from outside hospitals
- Admission of patients
- Physical examinations
- Diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care for medical conditions of patients
- Attending to any emergency need throughout the entire hospital while on-call
- Performs all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
- Other related duties as assigned
