About The Position

As the OCN Monitor/Escort Lead Dispatcher, you will operate under the general oversight and guidance of the Site Manager (SM) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM). Your primary role involves supervising others and managing day-to-day tasks, potentially requiring detailed knowledge of local mission and site policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of up to 20 Escorts. The position requires utilizing experience and problem-solving skills to enhance processes, resolve conflicts, and ensure the successful completion of the mission. In coordination with the SM and ASM, it is your duty to maintain a safe workplace, ensure adherence to site policies, meet quality standards, and complete tasks on schedule. As the OCN Monitor Lead, you must demonstrate proficiency in these areas, emphasizing experience in related positions and activities, and perform other assigned duties such as Vehicle Control Officer or In Country Liaison. Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of supervising ten or more personnel.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of prior experience working overseas.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Physical (hard copy) valid US Driver's License with clean driving report.
  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Kuwait.
  • Proven supervisory skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels from LN/OCN to senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of others and day-to-day task management.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of a team up to 20 Escorts.
  • Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes, resolve conflicts, and ensure mission success.
  • Maintain a safe workplace, ensure site policies are followed, quality standards are met, and tasks are completed on time (in coordination with the SM and ASM).
  • Demonstrate skill and emphasize experience in related positions and activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned (e.g., Vehicle control officer, In Country Liaison).
  • Perform any duties assigned to support the mission.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the Escorts.
  • Ensure team of Escorts adequately execute monitoring of un-cleared personnel (LN/OCN) into areas and monitor personnel while performing work.
  • Make on-the-spot corrections as required.
  • Ensure Escorts are properly verifying LNs/OCNs personnel are logged in and out and personnel counts are performed before and after they perform duties.
  • Provide general supervision of team to ensure work is completed for the day and the work zone has been purged by trained Force Protection military personnel and all LNs/OCNs have exited base and/or returned to camps.
  • Ensure all local base escorting policies are followed by your Team.
  • Provide training as required to ensure Escorts fully understand and comply with site policies and Escort responsibilities.
  • Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Be capable of working in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to managing competing priorities to achieve team goals.
