About The Position

The OCI Lead Architect is responsible for defining and overseeing the end‑to‑end architecture, security design, and technical strategy for a large-scale federal program operating across Non‑Classified, IL5, and IL6 environments. This role leads the design of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions that enable secure cross‑domain data movement, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities while maintaining strict compliance with federal security requirements. The architect will provide technical leadership to engineering teams, serve as the primary technical interface with Oracle and the government customer, and ensure solutions align with DevSecOps best practices, mission needs, and accreditation standards. This position requires deep experience supporting federal programs and designing secure, scalable cloud architectures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 16 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive experience supporting large‑scale federal programs
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering secure cloud solutions in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Demonstrated expertise in cross‑domain data movement and secure system integration.
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures that meet Non‑Class, IL5, and IL6 requirements.
  • Strong understanding of secure software development and federal compliance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall system architecture and technical design across Non‑Class, IL5, and IL6 environments.
  • Define OCI cloud architecture and security design in support of cross‑domain data movement and mission operations.
  • Architect and guide solutions that enable secure data flows between classified and unclassified environments in alignment with federal cross-domain requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering and DevSecOps teams throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Design and oversee AI/ML solutions capable of analyzing multi‑modal datasets (e.g., text, imagery, signals, structured and unstructured data).
  • Ensure security architectures and implementations align with OWASP principles and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of source code vulnerability scanning technologies within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Interface directly with Oracle, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and issue resolution.
  • Support security authorization and compliance activities, including documentation and artifacts required for eMASS.
  • Ensure architectures align with federal standards, customer requirements, and large‑scale program constraints.
