About The Position

Merkle is seeking a seasoned, multi-platform Enterprise Architect to join its Adobe Integrated Services practice, an extension of Adobe Professional Services supporting large, global enterprise accounts. This individual will represent Adobe Integrated Services directly to Adobe's highest-tier clients, providing technical and go-to-market business guidance across the full Adobe Experience ecosystem to help organizations strengthen and expand their use of existing Adobe technologies. This is an individual contributor role operating at the level of a senior director or principal architect. There are no direct reports, but the role independently leads client technical discussions, directs pod assignments, and guides activations across cross-functional teams, carrying full ownership of technical strategy, executive-level client relationships, and cross-functional orchestration across every engagement. The Enterprise Architect operates across two tracks, pre-sales and delivery, leading discovery, facilitating solution design, and orchestrating cross-functional teams to help clients realize measurable value from their Adobe investments.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in at least four of the following Adobe solutions: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Real-Time CDP (RTCDP), Workfront, AEM Assets (DAM), AEM Sites, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Workfront Planning, or Marketo, preferably AEP and AEM related solutions. This includes historically implementing, optimizing, and augmenting support for several of these technologies.
  • Experience across core Adobe AI-based solutions such as GenStudio for Performance Marketing, Firefly Foundry, and other evolving capabilities across the Adobe enterprise ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in technical integration and enterprise architecture design across complex, multi-system environments.
  • Prior experience in a pre-sales capacity, solution architecture/engineering, or client-facing advisory role within an enterprise software or consulting environment.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead discovery workshops and translate technical findings into business narratives.
  • Willingness to augment any missing skills across other Adobe solutions with speedy Adobe education through on-demand training and bootcamps.
  • Experience managing or influencing cross-functional delivery teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior client stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience and background in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or solution consulting methodologies.
  • Adobe product certifications across one or more of the platforms listed above.
  • Prior experience working within or alongside Adobe Professional Services, an Adobe solution partner, or through a direct embedded-partner capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical and business voice for Adobe Integrated Services, engaging both prospective clients in pre-sales discovery and contracted clients across a rolling twelve-month delivery roadmap.
  • Lead discovery and deep-dive sessions to assess a client's technology footprint, existing gaps, and business objectives, whether shaping a pre-sales activation or adjusting a live delivery roadmap.
  • Facilitate a quarterly engagement model that allows select, premier clients to experience the value of Integrated Services before committing to a full engagement, guiding them through a menu of activations to select the option best aligned to their goals and readiness.
  • Translate requirements and technical findings into tangible solution designs, proactive recommendations, and a clear business case that builds momentum toward larger or longer-term engagements.
  • Own the technical guidance and architecture strategy for each client relationship, ensuring the right sequence of activations is in place across a living, evolving roadmap that adapts as business needs shift.
  • Orchestrate and coordinate delivery pod teams executing activations, whether a two- to eight-week pre-sales engagement or an ongoing contracted delivery cycle, ensuring scope, timeline, and expectations stay aligned.
  • Partner closely with account owners, client owners, and delivery teams to keep engagements coordinated, on track, and aligned to client expectations.
  • Continuously assess client technology maturity and identify expansion opportunities across the broader Adobe ecosystem.
  • Maintain deep, current knowledge of the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem, with the ability to go under the hood in virtually any Adobe enterprise tool; hands-on implementation is not required, but credible technical depth is.
  • Demo and articulate art-of-the-possible scenarios, collaborating with clients to surface opportunities across their stack rather than working from a fixed script.
  • Design technical integration architectures that connect Adobe products to each other and to a client's broader martech and data ecosystem.
  • Communicate fluently with both technical stakeholders (architects, developers, platform admins) and business stakeholders (marketing, IT, executive sponsors).
