About The Position

This role is responsible for managing LCL and FCL shipments for customers, overseeing all aspects from booking to billing. The specialist will accurately process export documentation, prepare quotes for customers and overseas agents, and identify the best transportation methods. Key duties include communicating with overseas agents for pre-alerts and documentation, exploring cost-reduction and revenue-increase opportunities, and tracking shipments to provide customer updates. The position also involves maintaining strong professional relationships with shipping lines, truckers, and other vendors, emphasizing customer satisfaction, and ensuring timely completion of costing and billing for shipment files.

Requirements

Better than average understanding of the Export Regulations and other government agency regulations that govern exports.
Working knowledge of all ocean export procedures, rules and regulations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
IMDG certified

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Cargowise One is a plus.

Responsibilities
