Requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Excellent working knowledge of export and import freight movements
• Knowledge of Steamship line and NVOCC contracts and other online pricing tools
• Proficiency with computers is a must; advanced knowledge of Excel
• Solid communication skills (French written and verbal are assets).
• Strong organization skills and is detailed oriented
• Must be a pro-active and solutions-focused team player
• Ability to prioritize time effectively
• Energetic, pro-active, and keen learner
• Proven teamwork skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• CIFFA certified is an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare ocean export sales quotations
• Prioritize rate requests by urgency
• Follow up on quotes and track progress
• Assist freight operations as needed, including booking, re-routing, tracking, delivery, and billing
• Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Manager
• Interact and work with remote freight teams daily
• Stay abreast current and upcoming regulations
• Maintain excellent relations with clients and agent
