About The Position

You'll work alongside our Staff Occupational Therapist to deliver hands-on, meaningful care to residents — not just running through a checklist, but genuinely helping people regain independence. The environment is a low-to-moderate noise, team-oriented setting where your clinical judgment and hands-on care make a visible difference every day — whether you're helping someone stand independently for the first time in weeks, or fitting a resident for the equipment that gets them home.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited COTA program
  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, in good standing
  • Comfort with documentation systems (Net Health, PointClickCare a plus)
  • CPR certification (if required by your state licensure)
  • A steady, compassionate presence — someone who can connect with residents, families, and colleagues alike

Nice To Haves

  • Net Health, PointClickCare experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident treatment under the guidance of the OT
  • Build real relationships with residents, families, and the care team — you'll be the one communicating progress, goals, and discharge planning
  • Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and fall prevention
  • Recommend and help order equipment that gives residents back their independence — splints, assistive devices, grab bars, and more
  • Help train Aides and provide in-services to fellow staff — your expertise shapes the whole team
  • Take part in Resident Care conferences and contribute to program development and quality initiatives
