About The Position

The Pines at Placerville is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team! Whether you’re an experienced clinician or a recent graduate ready to launch your career, we’d love to hear from you. This role involves providing direct resident treatment under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist to help residents improve independence with daily living activities and functional mobility.

Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program
• Current California COTA License in good standing
• CPR Certification if required by licensure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• New grads are encouraged to apply!

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Net Health and PointClickCare is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident treatment under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
• Help residents improve independence with daily living activities and functional mobility
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation
• Assist with restorative nursing programs and staff education
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, home programs, and fall prevention
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices to support independence
• Maintain a safe and positive treatment environment
• Support quality improvement and rehabilitation initiatives
