About The Position

This role involves executing personalized recovery plans by applying therapeutic modalities to help patients regain essential daily living skills and independence. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will champion patient progress by closely monitoring responses to treatment and collaborating with the Occupational Therapist to refine goals for optimal outcomes. They will empower patients and caregivers through hands-on education, ensuring understanding of the recovery process and safe navigation of physical challenges. Additionally, the role facilitates seamless transitions by providing expert guidance on adaptive equipment and community resources, and maintains clinical integrity by documenting patient progress and overseeing support staff to ensure high standards of evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Occupational Therapist Assistant temporary letter will be accepted until license is issued.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Maintain clinical integrity by documenting every step of the patient’s journey and overseeing support staff to ensure the highest standards of evidence-based care.
