About The Position

Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center, a 118 bed skilled nursing facility located in Natick, MA, is looking for a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center has been deeply rooted in the MetroWest community for over 25 years with a reputation for providing high quality care. This facility is situated in a beautiful setting with modern updates to the property and state of the art short term rehab unit and therapy gym.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program and current professional licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, Organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Utilizes effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Under a physicians order, provides direct treatment to patients as directed by, and according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Contributes to the interdisciplinary team meeting/process.
  • Documents patient progress toward meeting established goals as stated in the treatment plan outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provides training to patients, caregivers and families according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising OT.
  • Completes documentation of direct treatment according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
  • Maintains productivity expectations on an ongoing basis.
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
  • Promotes positive customer relations.
  • Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, caregivers, visitors, physician, administrators and other team member.
  • Delivers services in compliance with the facilities ethical standards, policy and procedures, national professional standards, state practice acts where applicable, and current accepted state of the art practice.
  • Tasks and duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Manger or Administrator as needed.
