About The Position
PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Katy is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population. The hospital cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, as is a commitment and desire to learn. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The assistant must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
