Pathways Dementia Care: Providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy interventions that focus on functional ability, safety, and quality of life for those living with memory care needs. Assisted Living: Supporting residents in maintaining independence with targeted therapies that address mobility, balance, and daily living activities. Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care: Delivering intensive rehabilitation following illness, surgery, or injury, as well as ongoing therapy to enhance comfort, prevent decline, and promote dignity. We are currently seeking a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services in one of our locations. The Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing occupational therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

Valid license to practice occupational therapy
Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, basic math skills.
Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist
Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist when the Occupational Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
