About The Position
IU Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services for outpatient and inpatient care at Jay Hospital in Portland, Indiana. The position performs direct patient care occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and participates in activities supporting patient care, education, and department operations. The assistant may also help train fieldwork and practicum students and guide and supervise support personnel. The position is PRN.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program; or, for foreign-trained applicants, graduation from an occupational therapy assistant education program outside the United States with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
- Current license in the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Nice To Haves
- Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
