About The Position
Concept Rehab, a therapist-owned and operated company, is seeking a passionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time opportunity in Port Huron, Michigan. The role involves helping patients improve their independence, function, and quality of life by providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with patients, collaborating with a supportive therapy team, and making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
Requirements
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Previous skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Help patients improve daily living skills, mobility, coordination, and independence
- Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies
