About The Position
Avante at Ocala is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide Occupational Therapy services to residents by assisting in the assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. This role functions under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the National Certification for O.T.A.
- Current state licensure or license eligible.
- Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.
- Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
- Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.
- Background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Nice To Haves
- 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
Responsibilities
