About The Position

As an OTA, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, providing occupational therapy services to patients/clients. Your goal will be to assist in improving basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, and compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching patients/clients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. You may provide treatment to patients/clients with cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, and physical disability. You will also assist with patient/client and caregiver education.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited therapy assistant program.
• Therapy assistance experience.
• LIC-Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) - STATE_MI Upon Hire
• CRT-Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified (COTA) - NB-COT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Upon Hire
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Home Care Business Lines Upon Hire
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in neurological injury, TBI, and Spinal Cord injury (based on Spectrum Health entity).
