About The Position

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team serving patients throughout Fairfax County, Virginia, including Alexandria, Arlington, and surrounding communities. This is a PRN opportunity that offers flexibility, professional independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. As a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain the skills, confidence, and independence they need to safely perform everyday activities. You will build meaningful relationships while helping patients achieve goals that improve their quality of life. This role focuses on personalized, one-on-one therapy.

Requirements

Active Virginia Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License Required
Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
Strong Communication and Documentation Skills

Home Health Experience Preferred but Not Required

Responsibilities

Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional independence
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), therapeutic exercises, and adaptive techniques
Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and energy conservation strategies
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using WellSky
