About The Position

Virginia Vision Therapy Center (VVTC) is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and growth-oriented Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our clinical team in Leesburg, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for an OTA who is passionate about working with children and adults facing visual, learning, developmental, and neurological challenges. As an OTA, you already understand how visual skills impact daily occupation, learning, motor development, attention, and overall functional performance. Vision Therapy complements many of the skills and concepts learned in occupational therapy, including: Visual perception and processing, Visual-motor integration, Eye-hand coordination, Balance and spatial awareness, Attention and executive functioning, Neurological rehabilitation, Pediatric developmental care. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current OTA/COTA license or license eligibility
  • Experience working with children
  • Healthcare, rehabilitation, or patient care experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Standing and walking throughout the day
  • Getting on the floor and kneeling during therapy activities
  • Performing hands-on therapeutic exercises
  • Working with visual activities that may occasionally trigger discomfort in sensitive individuals
  • Ability to demonstrate and participate in therapy tasks and exercises

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one vision therapy sessions under the guidance of our doctors and clinical leadership team
  • Build strong relationships with patients and families
  • Track patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes
  • Learn specialized vision therapy procedures, equipment, and protocols
  • Support patients with visual processing, eye coordination, attention, and learning challenges
  • Collaborate with doctors and fellow therapists to achieve exceptional patient outcomes
