About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Occupational Therapist to serve patients in the Fayetteville, West Virginia area, covering Nicholas and Fayette counties. The role provides expert, patient-centered care in patients’ homes, with opportunities to work independently while receiving team support. The schedule is full-time, with flexible scheduling options. The position includes evaluating and treating patients under physician orders, helping patients achieve greater independence and function, coordinating with patients and their care teams, and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state.
• American Heart Association CPR certification; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments based on physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and/or function.
• Maintain communication with the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation of services to support proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
