Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab - OTLM
About The Position
This is a contract position for an Occupational Therapist in Inpatient Rehabilitation at Medford, OR. The contract duration is 13 weeks. The shift is Day Shift, 5x8 Hour Shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including an unpaid 30-minute lunch. No weekends or on-call duties are required. The role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, providing inpatient rehabilitation therapy, assisting patients with functional mobility and daily living activities, monitoring progress, educating patients and caregivers, maintaining documentation using Epic EMR, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active Oregon Occupational Therapist License required
- License pending candidates accepted
- Strong communication and patient care skills required
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience in inpatient rehab or acute care preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation therapy services to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
- Assist patients in improving functional mobility, self-care, and activities of daily living
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation teams
- Float occasionally to Acute Care units depending on IRF census needs
