About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered home health care in Vidalia, Georgia, covering Toombs County. The role offers a full-time schedule, flexible scheduling options, independent work with team support, and opportunities for advancement. Occupational Therapists provide one-to-one care to help patients and families and work to maximize patients’ independence and function.

The position involves evaluating and treating patients under physician orders, developing measurable goals and treatment plans, coordinating with the care team and patients’ families, documenting services, and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants. Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides compassionate care in patients’ homes and supports patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state is required.
• American Heart Association CPR certification is required; certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified in the competency checklist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum level of independence and function.
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
