The Occupational Therapist will provide patient care assessment and treatment, maintain accurate documentation, and meet department financial and productivity standards. This role participates in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services, promotes professional development and education of other healthcare workers, and provides representation on committees. The therapist will also lead staff and/or program development projects in areas of strategic effectiveness, clinical outcomes, clinical competency, or financial performance. Effective communication and networking within the occupational therapy profession, other healthcare professions, and the community are essential. The position requires providing appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
