About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered home health care in Cambridge, Maryland, with coverage in Dorchester. The role offers full-time work, flexible scheduling options, independent practice with team support, and one-to-one care for patients and families. Qualified external candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients based on physician orders, recommends and procures adaptive equipment, and develops measurable goals and treatment plans to support patients’ independence and function. The role includes coordinating with the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families; maintaining timely and complete service documentation; and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with the state practice act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state.
• American Heart Association CPR certification; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients based on physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and function.
• Communicate with the treatment team, physicians, patients, and family members as applicable.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to support proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
