About The Position

Stern at Home Therapy is seeking Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Occupational Therapists (OTs) to deliver one-on-one patient care across Manhattan. This role offers flexible scheduling, strong earning potential, clinical autonomy, and individualized patient care, avoiding the common issues of double-booking and traditional productivity quotas found in other therapy settings. OTs will evaluate and treat a primarily geriatric patient population in their homes, focusing on improving independence, safety, and quality of life. The administrative team handles referrals, scheduling, authorizations, and patient coordination, allowing therapists to concentrate on patient care.

Requirements

Active and registered New York State Occupational Therapist license required.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently in a home-based environment.

Nice To Haves

Home health or geriatric experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
Provide one-on-one occupational therapy treatments in patients' homes.
Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living.
Address strength, range of motion, coordination, cognition, safety, and functional performance.
Provide therapeutic activities and exercises based on each patient's individual goals.
Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications when appropriate.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies, exercises, and safety.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Communicate with physicians, caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary care team members.
