About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 41-week travel assignment in Juneau, AK. This position involves assessing patients' skills, developing treatment plans, providing support to family members and caregivers, and adapting environments for individuals with disabilities. The role also includes installing and teaching the use of necessary equipment, assisting patients in daily activities, managing pain through exercise, monitoring progress, and performing administrative tasks.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Pass a drug screen and background check
Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

Assessing the patient’s physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan
Giving advice and providing support for family members and Carers
Assessing the home, school and work environments of the patient
Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment
Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances
Assisting patients’ exercise for pain relief
Reviewing the patient’s progress and adapting the treatment accordingly
Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
