About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is hiring a full-time, school-based Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for its Medical Therapy Unit in Madera, California. The role involves evaluating clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing individualized treatment plans; supporting clients and families with daily activities and adaptive strategies; documenting care; and advocating for clients’ needs. The position offers an hourly rate of up to $67 and year-round benefits for full-time employees. Weekends, holidays, school breaks, and summer break are off. The organization describes a collaborative, mission-driven pediatric environment with mentorship and opportunities for professional growth across school-based, outpatient, early intervention, and ABA services.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain a license.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance their functional abilities.
Educate clients and families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
