About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is hiring a full-time, W-2 School-Based Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for a Medical Therapy Unit in Madera, California. The role offers an hourly rate of up to $67. The therapist will assess clients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document care, and help children and families improve functional abilities and access appropriate support. The position is part of a collaborative pediatric team, with mentorship and opportunities for professional growth across school, outpatient, early intervention, and ABA services. Full-time employees receive year-round benefits. Weekends, holidays, school breaks, and summer break are off.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities through observation and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
Educate clients and families about improving daily activities, including adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
