About The Position

In2Great! Pediatric Therapy is a growing and thriving multi-disciplinary clinic seeking experienced Occupational Therapists. We have expanded our state-of-the-art facility and are ready to welcome additional therapists and clients. We stand behind our Multidisciplinary model (OT, PT, SLP, ABA and Mental Health), have over 14 years of experience with over 100 staff, and are a well-established, clinician-led pediatric therapy practice built for long-term careers. We provide strong, accessible leadership and support staff, uphold clinical integrity and ethical quality of care, and our growth model is designed for stability. We are not a "churn and burn" ABA Model. Our therapeutic professionals boast a 95% retention rate, and our team is dedicated and mutually respectful across disciplines. Our spacious clinic is equipped for OT, PT, SLP, ABA, and Mental Health needs. Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy practitioners board certified, registered, and licensed in the state of Illinois
  • Current state licensure or certification as an occupational therapist.
  • Experience working with children of all ages with a variety of disabilities, such as developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and physical impairments.
  • Familiarity with the DIR/Floor time model and its principles for promoting child development through respectful, child-led interactions and relationships.
  • Proficiency in implementing DIR/Floor time techniques, such as following the child's lead, creating opportunities for shared attention and engagement, and scaffolding interactions to support higher-level developmental capacities.
  • Understanding of naturalistic environment therapy approaches, including strategies for embedding therapeutic activities within a child's natural routines, interests, and play experiences.
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques and interventions to fit the child's individual strengths, preferences, and sensory processing patterns within naturalistic environments, such as home, school, or community settings.
  • Integration of sensory-based interventions and environmental modifications to support sensory regulation and participation in daily activities within naturalistic contexts.
  • Proficiency in conducting pediatric assessments, including standardized evaluations and clinical observations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
  • Empathy, patience, and creativity in engaging children and fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning in the field of pediatric occupational therapy.

  • Certification or specialization in pediatric occupational therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on improving children's functional abilities and independence.
  • Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and interventions to address specific goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and carryover of therapy strategies across environments.
  • Monitor children's progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on strategies and techniques to support their child's development and carryover therapy goals at home and in other settings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary collaborations to coordinate care and promote holistic approaches to child development.
