About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist (OTR) for a long-term care setting in Loves Park, Illinois, with opportunities to float to a skilled nursing site in Byron. PRN hours are also available. The stated wage range is $50–$60 per hour, and flexible schedules are offered. The therapist evaluates clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; develops individualized treatment plans; and educates clients and families about daily activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications. The role also includes maintaining compliant clinical documentation and advocating for clients’ needs and access to resources. HealthPro Heritage describes itself as a therapist-led organization providing clinical services in settings such as nursing facilities, retirement communities, hospitals, home care, schools, and clinics.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and improve their functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
