This Full-Time Occupational Therapist position is at Baptist Medical Center in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, within the Acute Care Rehab Team. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting, supporting patients with various diagnoses including neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical conditions. The position is scheduled for Day shifts Monday - Friday with participation in a weekend coverage rotation. Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
Licensed Occupational Therapist from FL Department of Health
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

1 or more years of Acute Care Occupational Therapist experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats patients in an adult acute care setting.
Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available).
Works in a team environment with other Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
Provides ongoing patient and family education.
Works with multidisciplinary teams outside of Rehab Services (hospitalists, physician specialists, nursing, and social services).
