About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their Early Intervention team in the Chambersburg, PA area. This role focuses on in-home services for children aged 0-3. The position offers flexible scheduling options including Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN, with the ability to start slow and build up hours. Compensation is flexible, with a standard rate of $75/hour, and higher rates for those willing to travel across county lines. Service areas are designed to keep visits within a 30-minute drive from the therapist's home, covering areas like Chambersburg, Mercersburg, Shippensburg, or Waynesboro, PA. Therapists create their own schedules based on availability, with sessions typically lasting 1 hour, including therapy and documentation time on a company-provided laptop. Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
  • Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
  • Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
