About The Position

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for PRN home health opportunities throughout Washington, DC. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence where it matters most—at home. If you value flexible scheduling, one-on-one patient care, and helping patients safely regain independence in their everyday lives, this opportunity is for you. For more than 27 years, Human Touch Home Health has provided skilled and non-skilled home health services. Home health occupational therapy is about more than completing exercises; it's about helping patients do the everyday things that give them independence, such as getting dressed, preparing a meal, safely using their bathroom, and navigating their own home.

Requirements

Active Washington, DC Occupational Therapist License Required
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Dependable transportation to patient visits
Ability to work independently in patients' homes

Home Health and OASIS Experience Preferred, but Not Required

Responsibilities

Complete occupational therapy evaluations in patients' homes
Develop individualized treatment plans
Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and function
Assess home safety and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment
Educate patients and caregivers on safety and daily living techniques
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members
Complete progress assessments and discharge planning
Complete accurate and timely documentation using WellSky
