About The Position

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their rehabilitation team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a PRN/On-Call position offering flexible scheduling and opportunities to pick up additional hours. The role involves helping patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.

Requirements

• Current and valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license required.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach.

Nice To Haves

• Previous post-acute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve functional independence and quality of life.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and achieve treatment goals.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge planning, and home safety.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
