About The Position

Functional Pathways is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join their team at Westminster Canterbury Richmond, an award-winning Life Care Community. This role involves working across a 60-acre campus serving nearly 900 residents in various living settings including independent, assisted, memory support, and healthcare living. The community is celebrating 50 years and is expanding with a new Vital Living Center and Clubhouse featuring a fitness center, aquatic center, and spa. The Occupational Therapist will be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, contributing to a community consistently recognized as the best retirement community in Central Virginia. Functional Pathways offers a supportive, ethical, and innovative environment with a strong focus on values and customer service, having provided world-class clinical services for 30 years. They utilize evidence-based programs across the full continuum of care, with a holistic, patient-centered approach that addresses neurological, cardiopulmonary, cognitive, and musculoskeletal needs. Innovative treatments like aquatic therapy and non-invasive interventions are incorporated. Therapists receive training and certification in specialty programs through CORE4+ and Wellness offerings, with company-paid CEUs through MedBridge for full-time and part-time employees to support professional growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification and licensure requirements as established by state and national board associations.
  • Active state license
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures
  • Completion of all required screenings, certifications, and licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, discharge plan and make revisions in any established plan of care as supervised by the Physician.
