About The Position

Community Medical Center is a leading healthcare system with 151 beds offering adult and pediatric treatments and technology combined with medical specialties and certifications often only available in major cities. The Occupational Therapist (OT) assesses a patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills. They design the appropriate plan of care, including the type and frequency of treatment, and implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities. The OT documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress, monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed, and seeks consultation as necessary. They educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits, plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting, and provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Additionally, the OT supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • MT State Licensure for Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
