About The Position

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care to patients with debilitating conditions. The role uses therapeutic treatments to help patients improve everyday living skills and basic motor functions, and to compensate for loss of function. The Occupational Therapist provides skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and teaches family members and other members of the health care team. Services are provided in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the employee practices.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience is preferred; less experience may be accepted with approval from the Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services, based on prior experience setting.
• Medicare home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help patients improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in the home.
• Use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions, and help them compensate for loss of function.
• Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services.
• Teach family members and other members of the health care team.
• Provide services in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
