About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that help restore skills in activities of daily living, work or productive activities, and play or leisure. Develops a treatment plan by incorporating data obtained through the assessment of the patient’s medical history, appropriate tests and measures, and functional ability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Alabama.
• Holds current BCLS (CPR) certification.
• Understands and has experience with the basic equipment used in outpatient and/or inpatient occupational therapy.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, gain cooperation and exhibit customer service skills.
• Requires basic computer skills.
