About The Position

Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director of Special Education, the OT responsibilities include: Assessment and implementation of students' occupational therapy needs, all record-keeping related to each student assigned to the therapist, supervision of COTA staff, engage in data-driven instruction, and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor's, Master’s Degree or higher
Certified OTR in the state of Arizona
Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Nice To Haves

Experience delivering services in a school setting in a classroom integration model is preferred
Minimum of two years OT experience in a school setting preferred
Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred

Responsibilities

Assess students to identify eligibility and IEP needs
Supervise, mentor, and support COTA; train COTAs and classroom staff to implement goals identified on student IEPs related to: fine motor skills, life skills/training, psychosocial adaptations, sensory processing/adaptations, visual motor skills
Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions
Support the delivery of services in a classroom integration model
Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families
Responsible for paperwork compliance with data collections relating to IEP goals and Student Digital Portfolios
Maintain timely and accurate Medicaid Billing
Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals
Participate in annual and ongoing staff training
Write OT goals and progress monitoring data for students' IEPs
Attend IEP/MET meetings for students with OT services
