Always Compassionate Health is seeking dedicated, patient-focused Occupational Therapists with experience in upper extremity rehabilitation, orthopedic conditions, and custom splint fabrication. Requirements
- Active New York State Occupational Therapist license required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program; master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred, or eligibility and plans to sit for the CHT examination in the near future.
- Strong splinting and custom orthotic fabrication skills.
- Minimum of one year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate and treat post-surgical and non-surgical orthopedic conditions affecting the upper extremity.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, function, and independence.
- Fabricate custom splints and orthotics for post-surgical conditions and non-operative injuries.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
