About The Position

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home health care to patients with debilitating conditions. The role helps patients improve their ability to perform everyday tasks at home, develop daily living skills and basic motor functions, and compensate for loss of function. The Occupational Therapist provides skilled intermittent professional services and teaches patients’ families and other members of the health care team. Services are delivered according to physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the employee practices.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience; less experience may be acceptable with Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services approval based on prior experience setting.
• Medicare home health experience.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in the home.
• Use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions, and help them compensate for loss of function.
• Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services.
• Teach patients’ families and other members of the health care team.
• Provide services in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
