As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a critical role in assessing, developing, and implementing tailored treatment plans for residents, helping them regain functional independence and improve daily living skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current New York State OT License
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and create individualized treatment plans based on medical diagnoses
- Implement therapeutic activities and track progress toward functional goals
- Document daily notes, progress reports, and re-certifications accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and protect resident information
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary communication
- Assist the Rehab Director with departmental reporting and special projects
