Gillette Children's is seeking a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) occupational therapist to join the Gillette Children's Rehabilitation Therapies team. This role involves Monday to Friday day shifts performing outpatient care at the St. Paul 205 University Avenue location, with occasional coverage at other outpatient sites. Occasional weekend work may be required for inpatient services at our St. Paul hospital location. The purpose of this position is to provide direct and indirect family-centered therapy services for patients to increase functional abilities, independence, and community integration. The role also contributes to department, program, and service teams to assure the achievement of desired outcomes. Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served, but all positions require staff to work in highly coordinated teams, communicating efficiently and effectively, and adopting behaviors for high-functioning integrated teams, especially when serving patients with challenging and complex conditions.
