Occupational Therapist - Acute Care
About The Position
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients and plans and implements effective occupational therapy programs for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses, using assessment, clinical judgment, and psychological sensitivity. The role provides patient education, consultation, and discharge planning, and supervises and delegates patient care to Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Occupational Therapy Students. The therapist also contributes to the growth of Occupational Therapy services by helping develop new programs and educating others about occupational therapy. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekend work every 4–5 weeks and two holidays/weekends per year. The position is described as having a rotating shift.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (CPR).
- Illinois licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of job-related experience preferred; new graduates are welcome.
Responsibilities
