About The Position

As an Occupational Therapist at Westside, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills and specialize in areas such as Sensory Integration Therapy, Feeding Therapy, and Pediatric Mental Health. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Clinical Counselors, and ABA professionals. The role involves assessing clients for adaptations and the use of special equipment, implementing therapeutic interventions to develop fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self-care skills, and regulation, and providing support to clients' families.

Requirements

Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program
Successfully pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
OT licensure or license eligible, in the state of Illinois

Responsibilities

Assess clients for adaptations and use of special equipment when necessary
Identify and implement therapeutic interventions that help develop client’s fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self care skills, regulation, and more
Provide support and guidance to the clients’ family enabling them to foster the behaviors and practices implemented in treatment
