About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Occupational Therapist to provide expert, patient-centered care in Vidalia, Georgia, covering Toombs County. This is a full-time position. The therapist provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, works independently with support from a team, and helps patients reach their highest possible level of independence and function. The role includes evaluating and treating patients under physician orders, developing treatment plans, coordinating with patients, families, physicians, and the treatment team, and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state.
• American Heart Association CPR certification; certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients through occupational therapy based on physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum level of independence and/or function.
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation of services provided to support proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
