About The Position

Responsible for maintaining standards of patient care in accordance with hospital regulations, policies and procedures as established for occupational therapy; confers with the medical staff on procedures and policies pertaining to the care of their patients in this area; supervises therapy technicians. Responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment required for patient care, charging, scheduling and record keeping.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, with fulfillment of required clinical affiliations.
  • Successful completion of national registration examination with scores required to obtain licensure.
  • A current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Arkansas.
  • Must be able to perform job duties of a registered occupational therapist and those general duties specific to the Rehabilitative Services Department.
  • Must be able to function in a professional manner with minimal direct supervision, accepting responsibility for developing and maintaining a personal relationship with patients and their families.
  • Impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three months on-the-job training to learn department procedures.
