About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Occupational Therapist to provide expert, patient-centered care in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, covering Washington and Allegheny Counties. The role involves PRN visits, preferably two to three days per week. The therapist provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, working independently while receiving team support, and collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and other treatment-team members. The position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to help patients achieve greater independence and function.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state.
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification; certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatment based on physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and function.
• Maintain communication with the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to support proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
