About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team. This role is crucial in providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. The hospital is a 90-bed facility specializing in inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The unit is described as a fast-paced yet fun environment with ample opportunities for learning and growth.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Accepting new Grads

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain their well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and other team members.
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
