About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi, is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. The Occupational Therapist provides compassionate treatment and support to patients during recovery. This is a full-time position paying $30–$54 per hour, based on experience. Requirements
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
- Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
- Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
- Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
