About The Position

KORT Physical Therapy, a Select Medical's outpatient division, is seeking passionate and motivated Occupational Therapists with hand therapy experience to join their team. KORT is a leading employer for hand therapy in Kentucky and Southern Indiana, with over 70 clinics. This outpatient center utilizes best practices and evidence-based programs for individualized patient care, and the staff includes PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and ATs. The role involves working closely with a large group of Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) for support, education, and schedule coverage. Clinics are fully equipped to treat patients ranging from post-surgical to non-operative and work conditioning, with opportunities to collaborate with hand surgeons. Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational or Physical Therapy.
• Hand therapy experience in outpatient orthopedics in the last 3 years eligible to sit for CHT exam.
• National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED.
• Solid experience in custom orthotic fabrication and provision of post operative care for UE conditions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients.
• Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
